The city of
Boquete is a quaint mountain town, presently enjoying the distinction
of being the hottest growing area in Panama. It's about a 40 minuet drive
from David. It's the perfect place to drive to from David to spend a few hours
enjoying the views and have a leisurely lunch and stroll about to see what's
going on. The new road from David to Boquete is well under way, and once
completed will cut down the travel time and be less dangerous.

In January, Boquete also
hosts the Festival
"Flores y Cafe"
which is anywhere from the
12th to the 23rd. Another yearly festival
is the "Feria de Orquideasl"
which is from April 3rd to the 6th. |

There is some new construction
happening in the city center. Most evident is the Los Establos mini shopping
center. In the areas surronding the town, there are many, new homes under
construction, and more planned.
